Downloading videos on iOS or Android is harder and requires a third-party app like MyMedia app(iOS) or +Download (Android).

This article explains how to download X (formerly Twitter) videos for offline playback on iOS, Android, and a computer. The steps apply to all platforms and all devices.

How to Download Videos on Your Computer

Watching and sharing videos on X is fairly easy but saving them to your computer, smartphone, or tablet is impossible on the platform so users are forced to find alternative methods of downloading their favorite clips. Downloading on a computer is by far the easiest method and doesn't require the installation of any additional software. Here's how:

Find the post with the video you want to save.
Right-click the date; that's the permalink.
A menu will appear. Select Copy link address. The post's web address will now be saved to your computer's clipboard.
Go to DownloadTwitterVideo.com.
In the field on the website, paste the post's web address by right-clicking it with your mouse and selecting Paste, or press Ctrl+V on Windows, Command+V on the Mac.
Press Enter.
Two buttons will appear with options for your video download. Choose MP4 for a low-resolution version of the video; MP4 HD for a high-resolution version.
Right-click the new button that showed up after selecting the download type. It will say Right click here and choose 'Save link as...'
These instructions use the Chrome browser, which works similarly across Windows, Mac, and Linux. Other browsers may have different labels for the same action.

How to Download Videos on Android

Unlike the computer method above, saving videos on an Android device requires an additional app, but can still be performed quickly.

Download the free +Download app on your Android device. This app is required for saving videos to your device for offline play.
Open the official app on your Android device and search for the post containing the video you want to share.
You can also copy the video link from a browser; the official app isn't required.
Once you find it, tap the share button below the video, and then choose Share via.
The +Download app will appear in the list of apps you can share the video to. Tap +download from the list of apps you can share the link to. The video will download automatically.
If the video doesn't start downloading automatically, tap the download button. You might also have to give it permission to store videos on your device; select Allow if you're asked.

How to Download Videos on iPhone and iPad

iPhone and iPad owners have to put in a little more work than Android owners to save videos from social media, and it can also be more convoluted and time-consuming.

Download the free MyMedia app onto your iPhone or iPad.
Open the official app and search for the post containing the video you want to save.
You can also copy the video link from a browser; the official app isn't required.
Tap the post so its text and video fill the entire screen. Be careful not to tap any links or hashtags.
Next to the heart icon, there will be another icon that looks like an arrow shooting out of a box. Tap it.
Tap Share via.
Select Copy Link. The URL of the post will now be saved to your device's clipboard.
In the MyMedia app, tap Browser from the bottom menu.
In the field at the top of the app, type www.TWDown.net and tap Go. This essentially loads a website within the MyMedia app.
Scroll down the web page until you see a field that reads Enter Video. Tap this field so the cursor appears, then tap and briefly hold your finger on it and release to bring up the Paste option.
Tap Paste to paste the web address into the field.
Tap the Download button next to the field.
The web page will now reload and provide you with several download links for your video in a variety of sizes and resolutions. Tap the one you want to download.
As soon as you tap a download link, a menu will pop up. Tap Download the File, then type in a name for your saved video.
On the bottom menu, tap Media. You should see your saved video on this screen.
Tap your video's file name.
A new menu will pop up with a list of options. Tap Save to Camera Roll to save a copy of your video to your iOS device's Camera Roll folder. You can now open it in other apps just as you would if you had made the video yourself.

How do you get verified on X?
You can get a blue check on X by subscribing to its paid membership (formerly known as Twitter Blue). Once you set up your payment and confirm your identity using a phone number, your account will get the verification check.
How do you delete your X account?
To permanently delete your account, you must first deactivate it. Go to More > Settings and Privacy > Your Account > Deactivate your account > Deactivate. Your account will disappear after 30 days.
How do you change your X handle?
To change your username in the app, tap the profile icon > Settings & Privacy > Account > Username. Type your new username > Done.
